Bible Verses About Rest
Rest is not laziness — it's a gift from God and an act of trust. These verses invite us to cease striving and find renewal in God's presence.
"Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."
Jesus invites the weary to exchange their burdens for His gentle guidance.
"He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul."
David pictures God as a shepherd who leads His sheep to rest and restoration.
"And He said, "My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.""
God promises Moses that His presence brings rest.
