Bible Verses About Peace

The peace God offers transcends circumstances — it's available even when life feels chaotic. These verses point us toward the Prince of Peace.

John 14:27

"Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."

Jesus offers a unique kind of peace — not the absence of trouble, but presence of mind amid trouble.

Philippians 4:6-7

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

Paul prescribes prayer with thanksgiving as the path to God's peace — a peace that defies explanation.

Isaiah 26:3

"You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in You."

Isaiah connects peace to a mind fixed on God — our focus determines our experience of His peace.

Colossians 3:15

"Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace."

Paul instructs believers to let Christ's peace "rule" or arbitrate in their hearts.
