What We Collect
When you sign in with Google, we receive and store:
- Your email address (to send you daily chapters and receive your replies)
- Your name (for personalisation, though we rarely use it)
What You Provide
Through your email replies, you share:
- Your reading preferences (Bible version, time window, timezone)
- Notes and reflections on chapters (if you choose to save them)
How We Use Your Data
- Send you daily Bible chapters at your preferred time
- Store your notes so you can search them later
- Send weekly summaries (if enabled)
What We Don't Do
- We don't sell your data to anyone
- We don't share your email with third parties for marketing
- We don't use your data for advertising
Analytics
We use Google Tag Manager to understand how people use Selah so we can improve the experience. This may collect anonymous usage data such as pages visited, general location (country/city level), device type and browser. We also record purchase events server-side to measure conversion rates. No personally identifiable information is shared with analytics providers and we do not use this data for advertising or cross-site tracking.
Data Storage
Your data is stored securely using Supabase (database) and processed through Cloudflare (email routing). Emails are sent via Resend.
Deleting Your Data
Want to delete your account and all associated data? Reply to any Selah email with @delete and follow the confirmation steps. This will permanently remove all your data and revoke access.
